Tyler has finally moved out of the Lake House but now his sister Sophie’s life is blown up and she needs somewhere to stay.
Sophie Osbourne is a career woman. She’s lived in Colorado for years, pursuing her career while dating a man she’d always believed she’d marry. But he kept telling her he wasn’t ready for marriage yet, and wasn’t sure marriage was even something he wanted. Until one day he left her and a few weeks later she heard that he’d eloped with a woman ten years younger than her, and they were having a baby.
She’s devastated. At Rita’s suggestion, she returns to the Lake House where she was raised to get away from it all and hopefully find some semblance of perspective to help her get through this.
Brian is her brother’s best friend. She’s known him since high school. He’s younger than her and was always a little annoying during her teen years. But now he’s all grown up and she finds herself more annoyed than ever, although this time she’s not sure how to handle it.
He’s tall, handsome and more than a bit mischievous. But he’s nothing like the men she usually dates, and then there’s the issue of her protective brother who can’t seem to keep out of it.
It’s been so long since she lived in the Lake House, can she do it again, or should she return to Colorado and face the gossips, the heart break, and the career she’s not sure she even wants anymore?
